#MADWeek Event Host FAQ

How do I host an event?

Memphis Art & Design Week's programs are curated by the MAD Week Curatorial Committee. Unfortunately we cannot accept every event.

We encourage collaborative events that straddle art and design disciplines, interactive events that allow attendees to meet other people and get their hands dirty, and high quality events that offer a fresh perspective.

We love featuring big brands and design studios, but we are also very focused on highlighting small practices, studios, new ideas, and individual contributors.

We ask that all groups participating provide honorariums and payment to all creatives involved in their experience.

Can I charge a fee for my #MADWeek Event?

Each event sponsor will be allowed to determine a structure that is best for their target audience. Some events may be private for employees or members. Other events might be open to the public or to VIP ticket holders. Some organizations may find these events to be excellent opportunities to gain new members or raise funds for other programming.

What is the cost to host an #MADWeek event?

There is a $1,000 fee to host an Official #MADWeek event, which is applied to the marketing and operation of Memphis Art + Design Week.

Each host covers the cost of their own event.

Some organizations may decide to charge for participants to attend their event. Please let #MADWeek know the details so we can clearly communicate this to participants to avoid surprises.
